Old Fashioned Fun

The next part of my series of Noir-ish drawings, I'm getting more and more into showing danger and states of fear and panic. These are getting more fun and easier to design, I'm probebly going to keep pushing these drawings further, their really working for me.

Its Cold Out Here

Here is the next installment of the series of Noir-ish drawing im doing. I was trying to work on the over all environment of the drawing while still keeping the vignette design and feel of the last piece. I was going for a sense of space created by the two figures. Enjoy!

Edit: I decided to post just the black and white version as well

Heres a drawing I did for a class I'm in. I liked the look of the cross hatching and I liked playing around with all the white dark relationships. I through some color on it to see if I could enhance it a little bit. I think I want to do some more drawings like this. I like the idea of classic beauty and film noir is cool subject matter.

Fight the Darkness

So I've been working a lot purely on the computer. I figured I should work on some of my traditional art chops a bit. This is oil on Masonite. I'll admit, there is a touch of digital manipulation and painting, but only to clear up the muddy-ness as a result of the photography of the actual artwork.

This Flesh, A Tomb

This Mind, A Prison

This is the first of a three part series of a more personal and close to my heart kind of subject matter. This one is about the hardships we all go through when trying to connect with those around us on more than just a cutaneous level. I like to work the surreal with the figures and I plan to do things like this more and more. The others are on the way. PRINTS AVAILABLE!

The Monkey King

Here are a couple of illustrations I did for the fable of the Chinese folk tale of the Monkey King. It such a great story, and I suggest you take a look at it someday, its worth it. Then when you do, these might make sense, but for now, just enjoy the imagery.
